BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Alessandro Giari - President
Since the creation of Polo Tecnologico has been responsible and team leader of the organisational and functional model as sole administrator and President with general operative responsibilities since July 2002. He Has a long-standing experience in public administration strongly characterised by activities aimed at the integration of functions and services in institutional systems. Also President of the company Polab srl Laboratorio Elettromagnetico and Legal Representative of the Association between the Poli Scientifici e Tecnologici of West Tuscany.

Prof. Pierangelo Terreni - VicePresident
Dean of Engineering faculty at University of Pisa, he teaches microelectronics and he promotes new companies inside Polo Tecnologico.
He has published over 100 scientific and technical papers. His research interests initially included the theory of electric networks, models and measurements of noise in electronical devices, detection and control systems by microprocessor.
In the recent years scientifical activity of Prof. Terreni is focused on microelettronics and, lately, he worked on photovoltaic systems and renewable energy.


Ing. Agostino Bacci - Councillor
One of the greatest businessmen for technological contents of his companies which are leader internationalwide in the production of special machine for wood carving. He is the owner of the firm Industria Bacci Paolino and Sole Director of Bacci Meccanica srl, Forte srl, Paolino Bacci srl. He is a member of the council and executive council of the Industrial Union of Pisa.


Prof. Andrea Bonaccorsi - Councillor
Full professor of  Economy and management at the Engineering Faculty of University of Pisa.
His research interests are economy of technology and science, with attention to public policy, new methods of productivity's analysis and models of dynamics of science. He published on the main international reviews of innovation economy.
He was member of different High Level Expert Group of DG Ricerca of Commissione Europea on the main instruments of policy for research and innovation: Frontier research and the European Research Council (2005), Key actors in research in Europe 2020 (2006), Advisory Board (“three wise men” group) on Networks of Excellence (2007-2008), Assessment of University Based Research (2008-2009), The role of Community research policy in the knowledge-based economy (2009).
He is member of Executive Committee of Network of Excellence PRIME and other scientifical committees, like the Editorial Board of Minerva.
Since 2007 he is President of Universitary Consortium in Engineering for Quality and Innovation.


Mauro Benigni - Councillor
He has great experience of management, he is General Director of Credito Cooperativo di Fornacette Bank since 1987.
Now he is also Sole Director of Segest srl, President of Cabel leasing, and Director in different companies of Cabel group.
